Every summer, our department mobilizes to fight against aquatic invasive species. Our prevention team visits several lakes in Quebec to meet boaters and clean numerous watercrafts, thanks to our mobile washing station. Together, we discuss the importance to properly clean, drain, and dry boats and all equipment that has come into contact with water. We also remind everyone of the importance of repeating these 3 simple actions before and after each visit to a new body of water: Clean, drain, dry to prevent the spread of invasive species. Together, let’s contribute to the health of our precious aquatic ecosystems.
